چکیده

This paper presents a 3D model for pricing defaultable bonds with embedded call options. The pricing model incorporates three essential ingredients in the pricing of defaultable bonds: stochastic interest rate, stochastic default risk, and call provision. Both the stochastic interest rate and the stochastic default risk are modeled as a square-root diffusion process. The default risk process is allowed to be correlated with the default-free term structure. The call provision is modeled as a constraint on the value of the bond in the finite difference scheme. This paper can provide new insight for future research on defaultable bond pricing models. JEL classifications: C00; G13

A dynamic programming approach for the valuation of callable corporate Bonds within the CIR framework

We show how to price corporate callable (res. putable) bonds in a model where interest rates are described by the Cox, Ingersoll and Ross model and default is described by a stochastic intensity model. Pricing is done by mean of a dynamic programming procedure, recently proposed for nondefaultable bonds, that is shown to be fast and accurate. The procedure is easy to implement and constitute an...

Numerical Solution of Pricing of European Put Option with Stochastic Volatility

In this paper, European option pricing with stochastic volatility forecasted by well known GARCH model is discussed in context of Indian financial market. The data of Reliance Ltd. stockprice from 3/01/2000 to 30/03/2009 is used and resulting partial differential equation is solved byCrank-Nicolson finite difference method for various interest rates and maturity in time. Thesensitivity measures...

Corporate Bond Valuation and Hedging with Stochastic Interest Rates and Endogenous Bankruptcy

This paper analyzes corporate bond valuation and optimal call and default rules when interest rates and firm value are stochastic. It then uses the results to explain the dynamics of hedging. Bankruptcy rules are important determinants of corporate bond sensitivity to interest rates and firm value. Although endogenous and exogenous bankruptcy models can be calibrated to produce the same prices,...

A Simple Unified Model for Pricing Derivative Securities with Equity, Interest-rate, Default and Liquidity Risk

This paper develops a model for pricing securities that may be a function of several different sources of risk, namely, equity, interest-rate, default and liquidity risks. The model is also useful for extracting probabilities of default (PD) functions from market data. The model is not based on the stochastic process for the value of the firm, but on the stochastic process for interest rates an...
